The Method
Samarpan means surrender. As we sit to meditate, we surrender our egos, thoughts, desires, regrets and anything which hinders our spiritual progress. Swamiji says to see ourselves as pure souls seeking God.
We begin by chanting a mantra, then sit together in silence. The chanting of the mantra awakens the kundalini energy. Many meditations and practices can awaken the kundalini but only a living guru of high spiritual consciousness (a satguru) can raise the kundalini from the brow chakra (Agnya chakra) to the crown chakra (Sahastra chakra) enabling us to experience God.
After half an hour we end the meditation: Swamiji says that this is long enough.

The Benefits
As we practise Samarpan Meditation daily, we become balanced:
Physically - restoring physical health and wholeness
Mentally - improving concentration and bringing inner peace
Materially - removing blockages to satisfaction and success
Spiritually - opening a pathway to Self-realisation through the grace of Satguru energy.

The Satguru
Born into a Brahmin family in India, Satguru Sri Shivkrupananda Swami sought the true nature of God from an early age. Many years later he reached full enlightenment in the Himalayas and chose to come back to the world to be a channel through which anyone who chooses can experience and connect with God. He travels to many countries teaching Samarpan Meditation.

The Meeting
Swamiji encourages meditating regularly as a group, likening it to a team of horses hauling a load - the weakest one is helped along by the strength of the others.
Samarpan Meditation is not linked to any particular faith.
